Methodology
The rules this site holds itself to.
How offers get on the board
Every offer is curated by hand and passes a compliance gate before it appears publicly: the operator's availability record must be verified as licensed in that jurisdiction, the market must be active, and the offer itself must be active, verified against the sportsbook's own promo page, unexpired, and carry a link to the official terms. Each offer shows its last-verified date. Anything failing any check is hidden — not flagged, hidden.
How the calculators work
All calculators use published matched-betting mathematics: hedge stakes are computed to equalize outcomes across a two-way market, then optimized to the cent for the stake increments sportsbooks actually accept, choosing the stake that maximizes the worst-case result. Monetary math runs through decimal-safe arithmetic, and every formula is pinned by golden test fixtures that must reproduce exact published values before any release.
What the estimates mean
'Estimated locked profit' figures assume both wagers are accepted, cover all outcomes, and settle under equivalent rules, at the odds you enter. Odds movement, stake limits, voided bets, settlement differences, promotion changes, and entry errors can all change real results. Estimates are planning numbers, never guarantees.
What HedgeLock is not
HedgeLock does not accept wagers, does not hold funds, does not place bets, has no live odds feed, and does not predict game outcomes. Odds are entered by you; wagers are placed by you. We are an information and calculation layer, nothing more.
